The SMG Factory in Riyadh Covers Over Two Million Sq. Meter Area & is considered to be one of the largest & most advanced Stone-Processing plant in the the world, Equipped with the most sophisticated machinery & operated by highly qualified & skilled personnel.
Best Quality Assurance is the foundation of all SMG operations from quarry to factory floor. Fifty Quality Control Specialists, working both at rock-face and in our laboratory, meticulously monitor the sampling, testing and grading of all materials according to internationally recognized quality-control standards and procedures to ensure that only the highest quality stone is delivered to meet the demands of our extensive and growing, international client-base.
SMG’s manufacturing facilities in Riyadh are certified by ISO-9001: 2000 through the TUV Institute in Germany.
Annual production from Riyadh & Rabigh Plant is over five million sq. meters of cut stone, thanks to the employment of up-to-date precision stone cutting machinery, including slab processing lines, bridge-cutters and gang-saws. In addition, the Company has a number of major processing lines, including polishing, cross-cutting and water-jet cutting machines of the highest technical sophistication, for production of tiles for flooring and wall-cladding—from the smallest to the largest projects.
- Sawing: The factories are equipped with 52 granite “Gang-saws”, 6 Block Cutters lines & 4 "Multi-Wire" with an overall annual capacity of 5 million sq. meters in a huge range of thicknesses in standard slab sizes and cut-to-size tiles including the ornamental details, according to customer requirements.
- Detailing: To execute such fine detailed work, the factory is equipped with specialized profiling machineries capable of working to CAD designed patterns including balusters and circular columns. Finishing touches include hole-drilling, edge-polishing and chamfering in a wide variety of profiles. This is executed by highly skilled workers with long experience in working with natural stone. A suburb Technical Advisory Service is available to give top quality pre-order advice, delivery on time, and excellent post-order after-sales service.
- Surface Finishing: SMG employs a comprehensive range of stone-working technology to cover all the various processes of polishing, honing, flaming, bush hammering, sand-blasting and combinations of these.
